Susan Gershwin joined the CTKD Board in 2024. She brings more than 25 years of experience working with community-based nonprofit organizations and public schools. Susan specializes in program design and evaluation, community building, and strategic partnership development. She currently serves as the Community School Coordinator at Montview Elementary in Aurora Public Schools, where she leverages the strengths of her school’s families, school staff, and community organizations to help students thrive. Susan is passionate about how ideas shape and transform our world, and she aspires to contribute to building a more just, inclusive, and beloved community every day. She holds a Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership & Policy from Portland State University and a B.A. in Comparative Religion from the University of Puget Sound. Susan loves gathering friends together, exploring bookstores, getting outside, and being with her partner, Yoal, and both of their families.
