What does Clothes To Kids do?

The mission of Clothes To Kids of Denver is to provide new and quality used clothing to students from low-income or in-crisis families in the Denver Metro Area, free of charge. Clothes To Kids is not a consignment store and distributes all of the items that are donated to students in the community for free.

How do families find out about you?

Families find out about Clothes To Kids through schools, school districts, human service agencies, shelters, hospitals, clinics and places of worship throughout the 11-county Denver Metro Area. To visit Clothes To Kids, families must have an appointment to shop. Learn more on our Shop With Us page.

What are your most needed clothing items?

Clothes To Kids gladly accepts all clothing that would be appropriate for children and youth ages 3 – 21 to wear to school. Visit our Clothing & Shoe Donations page for a full list accepted items and greatest needs.

Who receives the clothing?

The students who shop at Clothes To Kids are experiencing some very difficult circumstances including poverty, homelessness, displacement and home removal. Many are refugees or are in foster care. Most of our shoppers are enrolled in preschool through 12th grade, and we also serve young adults pursuing a GED (up to 21 years old). Please review our Eligibility Guidelines for more information.

Where are you located?

We are located at 2890 S. Colorado Blvd., Unit M-3, Denver, CO 80222. The store is in the same shopping center as Sprouts Market and Rite Aid, across from the entrance to the Chez Artiste Theater and under Tuesday Morning. Click here for a Map and Directions.

Where does your clothing come from?

Most of our clothing is donated from local families who have kids that have outgrown their clothes. Many organizations, churches, schools and corporations help stock our store with targeted drives. Our corporate and nonprofit Apparel Partners provide donations of new clothing, shoes, socks and underwear. Please take a look at our Clothing & Shoe Donations page to help get you started with your own collection!

How do I become a financial supporter?

We gratefully accept financial gifts. We are a non-profit organization and all contributions made to our organization are tax deductible. Visit our Donate page to learn more.

Do you accept volunteers?

The Clothes To Kids store is almost entirely volunteer operated and has a wide range of service opportunities available. Adult volunteers are always needed, especially during times when the store is open to serve shoppers. Youth volunteers are also invited to process clothing donations at the store.
