Drives & Special Collections

Hosting a clothing drive is a great way to make a BIG difference in our community!  A steady stream of clothing donations makes it possible to provide a great selection to the students shopping with us. To support our mission with a clothing drive, we recommend a more streamlined effort by selecting items from our list of greatest needs. We find that focusing on one or two items makes it easy for your community to participate and leads to a successful event. 

Specialty Drives

The Undie 500 and Kicks For Kids Shoe Drive are ready-made collections that are a great fit for businesses, schools, scout troops, sports teams, clubs, religious communities and service organizations wanting to support students in need.

Undie 500

The Undie 500 is a drive that challenges participants to collect as much new underwear and socks as possible to support students in need. Teams may participate by collecting underwear and socks as a group, or challenge another team to a collection competition. However you participate, be creative and have fun!

All socks and underwear must be brand new and in original packaging. 

Kicks For Kids Shoe Drive

Clothes To Kids provides one FREE pair of shoes to each of the thousands of students in need who visit our shop each year. Every pair makes a difference! Hosting a Kicks for Kids drive is a great way to support the students we serve and send them to school with shoes they feel great about wearing.

We accept many styles of shoes but no formal wear, flip flops and no baby shoes. Gently used clean shoes are welcome.

Greatest Needs

We are consistently in short supply of these items and have more details to share about our current greatest needs.

  • Shoes: Host a Kicks for Kids collection. We accept many styles of shoes but no formal wear, flip flops and no baby shoes. Gently used clean shoes are welcome.
  • Underwear: Host an Undie 500!  All socks and underwear must be brand new and in original packaging. 
  • Coats: Host a Coat Check: Layer Up! event by collecting coats and outerwear for all seasons and sizes.
  • Pants: Host a Fresh Fits: Pants Edition featuring all kinds of pants including jeans, joggers, leggings, athletic pants. 
  • Shorts:  Host a Fresh Fits: Shorts Edition including all kinds of shorts, especially athletic styles. Colorado kids love their shorts!
  • Menswear: we frequently are low on men’s size clothing for the teenage students we serve.
