Katie Jadwin was hired as the organization’s first employee following her graduation from the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work (GSSW). For her contributions to Clothes To Kids of Denver as an intern, she was awarded the Ruth Marx Stark award for excellence in field education from GSSW. Katie served as the first Executive Director of CTKD from 2014-2019, then transitioned to a communications role following a move to Minnesota. She is responsible for overseeing the organization’s marketing communications, financial management, web presence (website, social media, etc.) and grant writing. Prior working at CTKD, Katie held positions at the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics, Providers’ Resource Clearinghouse and REI. In her downtime, Katie loves spending time with her family and being outside. She has two awesome daughters and especially enjoys volunteering at their schools and being a Girl Scout troop leader.
