Gail Cerny is one of the four founding members of CTKD. While raising three daughters, Gail spent most of her adult life volunteering in the public school systems in Texas, Florida and Colorado, mentoring elementary, middle school and high school students. She recognized early on the number of students without adequate clothing, affecting their social and academic development. While briefly living in Florida in the early 2000’s, she was introduced to Clothes To Kids in Florida through a good friend. When her husband’s work moved her to Denver, she joined forces with Joyce Meyers, Lesa Butler and Mary Overington to found CTKD in September of 2008. Gail currently resides back in Florida with her husband, Charlie, of 50 years. They have 3 daughters and 6 grandchildren, ranging ages from 14 years to 18 months. She spends her time playing tennis, fishing, boating, shelling, traveling and keeping up with those 6 grandchildren. She still checks in on Clothes To Kids of Denver, loves visiting the store and is so very proud of the great service they provide to the Denver community.
