Adopt a CTKD School Bin!

Clothes To Kids of Denver has a great way to help kids that’s a perfect fit for your school. Adopt a bin today!

It’s easy to get started!

  1. Download our School Bin Program Packet to see if the program is a good fit for your school.
  2. Obtain permission to place the bin at your school. Look for a spot near a main entrance where people can easily leave their donations.
  3. Sign and return the Bin Champion contract (available on the second page in the packet above). As part of the commitment to participate, you must designate a Bin Champion to bring the clothing to the Clothes To Kids shop and act as the main contact for your site.
  4. Once you have submitted your contract, a Clothes To Kids representative will contact you to arrange your delivery. Bins are typically delivered in September/October each year. Please note that there are a very limited number of bins available so we cannot guarantee immediate availability and your school may be placed on a waiting list.
  5. Questions? Please contact Clothes To Kids Volunteer Coordinator Eileen Robinson at volunteer@clothestokidsdenver.org.

Thank you to our School Bin Program Sponsor

The Clothes To Kids School Bin Program would not be possible without the generous support of the RK Foundation (of Denver-based mechanical contractor RK). RK designed and constructed the bins in their sheet metal fabrication shop and has pledged to construct and deliver 10 bins per year through 2019.

Thank you RK!!

Donor Spotlight – Digabit Digs in its Closets for Donations

Local software company Digabit, Inc. wanted to reach out to a community organization during the holidays to offer employees a chance to give back. They found out about Clothes To Kids and felt like it was a great fit, because the weather’s turning colder in Colorado and they wanted to make an immediate impact for local children.

Digabit-Clothes-to-Kids-Denver-donation-boxDigabit has organized an employee clothes drive that culminates at the company’s annual holiday celebration on December 11th. They’ve set up a donation box in the office lobby and have nearly filled it to the rim!

Employees will continue to bring their cash and clothing donations to work until the party, and we’re excited to see what they end up delivering to the store. This is great timing as the clothes will come in right around the busy holiday break period.

Let’s help our kids get off to a good start in the second half of the school year! For more information on needed items, here is a link to the Clothes To Kids Donation Guidelines.

Come aboard the Sole Train!

SoleTrainLogoClothes To Kids of Denver is happy to announce a new way to help kids in our community…the Sole Train Shoe Drive! Shoes are one of the most important parts of the CTKD wardrobe. Learn how you can help by downloading our Sole Train Shoe Drive flyer.

Why Shoes?

Clothes To Kids of Denver provides one FREE pair of shoes to each of the thousands of Preschool-12th grade students in need who visit our shop each year. That’s more than 5,000 pairs in 2015! Please help us send our shoppers to school with shoes they feel great about wearing!

Soul Train Shoe Drive Guidelines:

  • Shoes must be new or gently used (clean and ready to wear with no holes or serious damage).
  • We accept shoes children’s size 8 to adult’s size 14. We especially need shoes for elementary school age boys and girls (youth sizes 11 to 6), but all sizes are appreciated.
