My name is Carol Gill and I have been volunteering at Clothes to Kids for the past two years.  Volunteering has brought a new sense of perspective and understanding of the plight of low income children in our city.  Serving the children and their parents has brought me so much joy.

I believe that together we can make a difference in the lives of the children affected by poverty.  I invite you to share in the joy of giving by volunteering at Clothes To kids of Denver.

Dale Huffert, Marie Payne and Chuck Smith for their endless hours of working to complete the new store build-out.

Cory Wake, Ian Craighead, Hoang Einh, Ryan McDowell, Set Newby and Jack Bredar for helping to move boxes of clothes from the old store to the temporary sorting area then into new back storage. Also for painting the old store to restore to original.

Cory, Lane and Dan Wake for additional painting and cleaning of the old store space.

Julie Stewart with Challenge School in Parker for collecting Lost & Found and school sale items that included uniforms.

Sharon Rounds for sharing CTKD with her church, Grace Community Church, and their now ongoing clothing drives.

Wellshire Dry Cleaners and Dependable Cleaners for cleaning the dressing room curtains free of charge and to Sharon Rounds for dropping off and picking up.

Bettie Flyckt for contacting Target Stores for donations and to the Target Store on Arapahoe Road for their clothing donation.
Andrea Silva with Family-2-Family and their donation, via Office Depot, of wonderful new school backpacks.

Brownstein Hyatt-Farber-Schreck Law Firm for selecting CTKD as their philanthropy for this quarter and all the employees that worked on 8/25.

Holly Haynes for donating the beautiful conference table, nice desk chair, wall cabinets and 2 waiting room chairs. Also thanks to Holly, her son, Ryan and husband, Jim for helping to load and unload the donations.

This month we wish to acknowledge and spotlight three outstanding and talented people who are dedicated Clothes To Kids of Denver, Inc. volunteers. These special human beings were pivotal in ensuring the move to our new store went seamlessly and without a hitch.

A HUGE thank you to Dale Huffert, Marie Payne and Chuck Smith for their gifts given during the summer to ensure we had carpeting secured and installed, that new dressing rooms were designed and crafted, that our new shop was painted appropriately, ensured foam lettering was painted and applied, that base boards were painted and installed, that racks and frames were fitted and safely secured to the walls, a new  extras  wall was designed and crafted and the list goes on. Dale, Marie and Chuck are the unsung heroes and the reason why we were able to open our new shop doors on August 17th as planned. Their sense of humor,
passion and attention to detail, their hard work ethic and commitment to see through tasks will benefit untold Denver County school-aged children for many years to come.

From the bottom of our most grateful hearts, we thank and honor you Marie, Chuck and Dale for going above and beyond in sharing your gifts and talents for the betterment of CTKD. You three are simply the best!
