We Depend on You!
Clothes To Kids of Denver thrives because of generous people who share their time, talents and kind-hearted energy. Our boutique runs almost entirely on volunteer power, so your involvement helps local students walk into school feeling confident and cared for. We’d be thrilled to have you join us. YOU make all the difference!
It’s easy to get involved.
Let’s find a volunteer option that’s right for your skills and schedule.

Who can volunteer?
Adults
Adult volunteers are always needed for many of the opportunities listed in the link above. Our top priority is in-store volunteers during the hours our store is open to serve shoppers. To maintain shopper privacy, volunteers must be age 18 or older and out of high school to assist families in the front of the store. Please note that most volunteer positions for adults require a background check.
Youth
Youth volunteers are invited to help both inside and outside of our store. To serve in person, youth volunteers must be in 9th – 12th grade and may volunteer without an adult. Remote volunteer opportunities are available for youth in 5th – 8th grade. Check out all the volunteer opportunities using the link at the top of the page.
We have a limited number of openings in the store for teen volunteers and look for youth who who are engaged by our mission, motivated to help other students and have good attention to detail.
Groups
Groups of 3-10 people from businesses, clubs, congregations and community organizations are invited to serve at Clothes To Kids for one-time opportunities or on an on-going basis. For larger groups, it’s possible to schedule multiple shifts to accommodate everyone but they won’t be able to volunteer all at the same time.
What’s the time commitment?
Minimum Commitment
Our greatest need is for in-store volunteers who can fill a regular schedule (weekly, bi-weekly or monthly). We ask new volunteers to make a minimum commitment of at least 12 hours over 3 months (that’s once or twice a month). We ask those interested in volunteering to make sure there is time in your schedule to volunteer a minimum of monthly. Volunteer roles outside of the store have a variable commitment.
Volunteer Shifts
Volunteer shifts in the store are generally available Tuesday – Saturday between 9am-4pm. Timing of volunteer shifts varies by day of the week. Adult shifts are generally three hours while teen, family and group shifts are generally two hours long.
Scheduling
All volunteers are scheduled and sign up for shifts on a first-come, first-served basis using an online calendar. There is no guarantee that certain days or shifts are available.
