Clothes To Kids of Denver Student Ambassador Marko Babiak appears in a Denver Public Schools feature about his work to place clothing collection bins at schools across the city.

Clothes to Kids of Denver is happy to report its most successful year-end fundraising ever. Thanks to donors like you, CTKD was able to raise nearly $22,000 on Colorado Gives Day. On top of that, we were one of four local charities to receive a $10,000 bonus grant from a special pool created by FirstBank Colorado.
And if that wasn’t great enough, so far this year, CTKD has received a $11,000 challenge grant from the Olson-Vander Heyden Foundation, a $8,500 grant from The Denver Foundation, a $5,000 grant from the Anschutz Family Foundation and a $4,053 supply grant from Kaiser Permanente.

“Wine and Swine” is approaching fast and we need your help to make this event a great success! Event sponsors are essential to offset our costs so that funds from ticket and auction sales go directly to providing clothing for the children we serve.
Can you help? We have four sponsorship levels: Champagne, Cabernet, Chardonnay and Blush. Each sponsorship includes anywhere from 2 to 10 tickets to the event and a multitude of marketing incentives. Please download our Sponsorship Packet for more details. Questions? Please contact Lesa Butler at lesadb13@aol.com.

As Clothes To Kids of Denver (CTKD) continues to grow, the staff and Board of Directors are constantly amazed by the strong support within the Denver community, especially among youth. One particularly inspiring youth is Marko Babiak, who served as the President of the Student Council at Steck Elementary School last year.

Congratulations to long-time CTKD volunteer Carol Gill, who was named a 7Everyday Hero by Channel 7NEWS. In April, 7NEWS anchor Mitch Jelniker made a surprise visit to the shop to present the award to Carol and to film a feature about Clothes To Kids. According to the 7News website, this award “is given to Coloradans who initiate solutions, motivate others, represent or serve working families and work on a nonprofit basis.” Thank you to Carol and all of the volunteers who work so hard to make Clothes To Kids a welcoming place for kids in need!

In January of this year, CTKD was honored to receive a $10,000 challenge grant from the Olson-Vander Heyden Foundation. We reached out to our wonderful community to raise $10,000 on our own and we are happy to report that we have met that goal – and then some!
Here are some ways that $20,000 can “Change a Life” a CTKD:
As we prepare the busy Back To School season, the generous support of the Olson-Vander Heyden Foundation and our individual donors is more important than ever. If you missed the opportunity to support CTKD in fulfilling the challenge grant, but would still like to donate, please mail donations to P.O. Box 260621 Lakewood, CO 80226-0621. You can also drop them off at the store on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday between 9 am and 2 pm. Our shop is located at 2890 S. Colorado Blvd, Unit M-3 Denver, CO 80222. You can also donate online using a credit card:
“The Foundation’s normal mission is to foster and sustain innovation in the Denver area’s arts community. This will always remain the Foundation’s primary mission. In light of current economic circumstances however, the Foundation has determined to depart temporarily from making grants exclusively to the arts community to account for the unusual material hardship resulting from the nation’s economic difficulties.”
