Clothes To Kids of Denver Begins Its 3rd Back-to-School Season

At Clothes To Kids of Denver, the phones are ringing off the hook with hundreds of clients calling to schedule appointments to shop for their children’s back-to-school clothing. As CTKD rolls into its 3rd year of serving low-income school aged children in Denver County, we open our doors and hearts to these wonderful children.

Eager to learn and join their classmates, many find themselves afraid to go to school because they don’t have the appropriate clothing. No one wants to be teased and shunned because of his or her ill-fitting shoes or torn and stained clothing. They shouldn’t have to. This is why CTKD is here to serve the children in Denver. It still warms my heart when I see the smiles on the children’s faces as they find that perfect outfit that helps them expresses their personality. Knowing that they can attend school with dignity and pride, I observe them as they eagerly watch our volunteers fold and place their selections into bags to take home. The smiles and laughs coming from these children as they shop in our store will now also be heard on the playgrounds at school; happy to learn and grow.
